Designed for makers at every stage, the residency offers a space to deepen practice, reconnect with personal and cultural narratives, and create with intention.

Artists are encouraged to submit a free application to join a cohort committed to growth, reflection, and creative possibility.

The Sankofa AIR International Residency invites artists to participate in a transformative 7-day cultural immersion experience in Ghana, connecting with creative communities across Africa and the diaspora.

Hosted in collaboration with leading cultural partners, the residency is designed to support artistic development, cultural exchange, and meaningful connection. Participants will have access to dedicated studio space to develop new work, opportunities to share their practice through artist talks and dialogue, and curated experiences that deepen engagement with Ghana's artistic and cultural landscape.

The residency includes cultural excursions, community-centered experiences, creative exchange, and other unique opportunities intentionally designed to inspire, challenge, and expand artistic practice.
